The GTG is an automatically-generated turbulence forecast product that supplements AIRMETs and SIGMETs by
identifying areas of turbulence. The GTG is not a substitute for turbulence information contained
AIRMETs and SIGMETs. It is authorized for operational use by meteorologists and dispatchers.
